Louis Gallois, born in Montauban (Tarn et Garonne) on 26 January 1944 and the father of three children, is a leading French CEO and former civil servant.

After graduating from the business school HEC and the administration school ENA, he worked for several Ministries (Economy and Finance, Research and Industry, Defence). From 1989 to 1992 he was the CEO of SNECMA and then he became CEO of Aérospatiale. Louis Gallois headed the company until 1996 when he was appointed President of SNCF. In 2006, he was appointed Co-CEO of EADS N.V., President and CEO of Airbus and in August 2007, the sole CEO of EADS N.V.

Louis Gallois heads an enterprise which increased its sales by more than 75% in 10 years and now employs more than 120,000 people. Louis Gallois is also President of the think tank "La Fabrique de l'industrie", which aims to put industry back at the forefront of the French and European economies.
