Ulrich Grillo (52) studied Business management at the University of Münster and graduated as Diplom-Kaufmann (graduate in business administration and economics). His professional career began in 1987 with the management consulting companies Arthur Andersen & Co. GmbH and A.T. Kearney GmbH. In 1992 he moved to the Rheinmetall Group where he worked in various positions.

In 2001 he joined the Executive Board of Grillo-Werke AG, of which he is now Chairman. Grillo-Werke AG is one of the most important zinc processors worldwide with a sales volume of €600 million. The company was founded in 1842 and is 100 % family-owned. Ulrich Grillo leads the company in the fifth generation.

Ulrich Grillo is President of the WirtschaftsVereinigung Metalle (the German non-ferrous metals association) and Vice-President of the Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie (Federation of German Industry). He is also a member of other various supervisory and executive boards within and beyond the Grillo Group.

Ulrich Grillo is married and has two daughters.
