Zong Qinghou, born in October 1945, founder and Chairman of Hangzhou Wahaha Group Co. Ltd.

He had been a farmer for 15 years and a salesman for another 10 years before he started his own business in 1987. After 24 years he successfully established his own brand Wahaha  and made the company the China’s largest and most profitable beverage enterprise. It is one of the top, most competitive private enterprises recognized by the State Council. It ranked No 1 in  profit-making among all private companies in China in 2010.

Not only is Chairman Zong a successful business leader, but also he is a man ready to shoulder his share of social responsibility. He and Wahaha Group have made about 300 million RMB  donations to education and social welfare.

Chairman Zong and his company are recipients of many awards such as the" National Labor Model" , "Chinese Enterprise Management Special Contribution Award", “China Charity Prize” and "China's Most Respected Company".

Chairman Zong is the Representative of the Tenth and the Eleventh National People's Congress; He is also an accredited MBA Instructor of the Zhejiang University.
