Andrei Bougrov is Senior Managing Director of Interros Holding Company and  Member of its Management Board. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of MMC Norilsk Nickel. He also served as President, Chairman and Member of the Board of Directors of Rosbank; Member of the Board of Directors of Power Machines Corporation and RAO Unified Energy Systems of Russia, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Prof-Media and the Third Generation Company of Wholesale Electric Market (OGK-3). Prior to that in 1993-2002 Mr. Bougrov was Russia’s Principal Resident Representative to the World Bank. He was also the Dean of the Board of Directors of the World Bank. Also from 1993 to 2002, he worked as Executive Director, Member of the Boards of Directors - International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, International Development Association, International Finance Corporation, Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, Washington. D.C., where he was involved in development and implementation of Russia’s Borrowing Programme from the Bank. Before joining the World Bank Mr. Bougrov was a senior staff member of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London.

He began his career as Deputy Dean of the Economic Department of the Moscow Institute for International Relations and then spent 12 years with the Russian Ministry for Foreign Affairs in charge of international economic affairs. He received a BA and a Master’s Degree with first class honors from the Moscow State Institute for International Relations, completed post-graduate studies and received a Ph. D. in economics at the same institute. He also completed an executive development course at Harvard Business School.
