Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Bin Mohammad Al-Thani is a prominent member of the ruling family in the State of Qatar as well as a well-known and trusted businessman.

After his B.Sc in Economics and Political Science achieved in the prestigious Portland State University in 1981, he went back to Qatar where he took on different roles as Senior Government Officer.

Since May 2006 he is the Chairman of Qatar Chamber of Commerce & Industry Board of Directors. Qatar Chamber of Commerce & Industry (QCCI) serves a vital role as the national chamber of commerce in promoting Qatar's burgeoning economy.

Under the wise leadership of Sheikh Khalifa QCCI achieved numerous success welcoming global trade and investment and providing a wide range of services and support to the local and international business community.

Sheikh Khalifa leads a strong and cohesive team that is allowing the Chamber to grow rapidly, along with Qatar’s economy. QCCI has more than doubled its membership to over 21,000 in the last four years.

Sheikh Khalifa is also Chairman of ICC Qatar National Committee and he is actively involved in World Chambers Federation's activities and initiatives, and he shares with them the same principles and values of peace and prosperity achieved through business.

In September 2010 QCCI and ICC Qatar joined the Business Peace Award to stimulate corporate ethical behaviour by increasing awareness on the best practice.

Sheikh Khalifa is currently working with the Qatar Custom Authority on the implementation of ATA carnet system to improve the business experience in Qatar.

He is also a Board Member of Doha Insurance Company.
