José Ignacio de Mendiguren is Scribe and Lawyer specialized in Business Law graduated from University of Buenos Aires. Currently he is President of the Unión Industrial Argentina (UIA), function previously played from May 2001 to January 2002, when he was appointed Minister of Production of the Nation. Also in the UIA he occupied charges of Vice President and Secretary. Between the years 1999 and 2002 he also served as Director of Banco Nación Argentina, the largest bank in Argentina,

Mr. de Mendiguren is also the President of the Argentina Federation of Textile and Clothing Industry (FAIA) since 1996, having served as President of the Industrial Association of the Clothing of MERCOSUR (AIVEM). In addition, Mr. de Mendiguren is the President of Texlon San Luis SA, a company that produces industrial fabrics, footwear and clothing.

In the international sphere, José Ignacio de Mendiguren is the Vice President of the Argentine Chapter of the Society for International Development since 2005, and Lecturer at national and international arenas related to industry. As a result of his active participation in Business Organization leadership, he is involved in a large number of symposiums, congresses and seminars of interest to industry, both at the national and abroad.
