The business community strongly supports reforms to reinforce financial stability, decided and implemented by the G20 countries. If those reforms have been appropriate remedies to the dysfunctions highlighted by the financial crisis of 2008, however, at this stage, additional risks may arise and those need to be addressed by the G20 governments- the economical, social and environmental impacts of these financial regulations, the risk of fragmented markets, the need of a framework for financial innovation, the quality of accounting standards- in order to adapt the reforms for today’s and the future’s environment.
