Alberto Alvarez Saavedra has been since April 2008 President of the Board of Directors of Gador S.A. (an Argentine pharmaceutical company with over 70 years in operation)
Throughout his 39-year career with Gador, Mr. Alvarez Saavedra has held different leadership positions such as Executive Director and Vice president.
He has been member of the Executive Committee of CILFA (Industrial Chamber of Argentine Pharmaceutical Laboratories) since 1980 at several different positions, being in charge of the Presidency in the period 1989-1992.
Mr. Alvarez Saavedra has been President of the Argentine Non-governmental Delegation to the GATT Meeting – Chapter T.R.I.P.S. (Intellectual Property) in Geneva (November 1990) and Brussels (December 1990).
Besides, he also attended the Diplomatic Conference OMPI (World Organization for the Intellectual Property) in The Hague (June 1991) as member of ALIFAR (Latin-American Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry).
He is currently Vice president SME of the Argentine Industrial Union (UIA) and holds the representation of the Pharmaceutical Sector. He is also in charge of the Education, Science and Technology Commission of UIA.
